11u wins in Gold

By Laurie Kobe 02/05/2018, 10:15am CST

The Texas Invasion 11u team entered their second tournament of the season this past weekend at the Big Tex Showdown. It was a one day tournament that pushed the girls to their ultimate limit.  The team played a total of 12 sets, the last 8 being in a row with no breaks. The team was on their feet for 11 hours and worked harder than they have ever worked before. They gave their blood, sweat, injury and tears to the game and left it all on the court. Each and every player had amazing passes, sets, kills and ace winning serves.  Each player was an integral part to winning each and every game, set after set. They reached their point of exhaustion and fell short in the last game taking second place overall. But this second place is not a first place loser. It is the outcome of brand new players being pushed to their limits and proving to all that they CAN do it! We are proud to be Texas Invasion and we wear our medals with heartfelt joy.  This is one of many wins to come for the 11u team. They cannot be stopped!
